Runa Ray is no stranger to fashion design; having worked with John Galliano and House of Dior she knows the evolution of patterns all too well
This season Runa brought evolution to her Spring/Summer 2017 runway. A procession of beautiful models which varied in culture, but bound by dread styles and luminous faces waltzed the runway barefoot in garments that edged on traditional Indian and Asian aesthetic. While the collection boasted mute colors consisting of beiges, blacks and greys; a few popped with bright color additions which were placed in strategic spots within the design.
Finally, the show stopper was a holy trinity of 3 beautifully designed pieces with the word “EVOLVE” spelled out across the models backs. Consisting of folding, color-block and applique, these pieces showcased Runa’s talent and evolution of Fashion from pattern to garment.
