Grammy Award winning band Los Lonely Boys are back at it with a new album and tour entitled “Revelation”. Los Lonely Boys consist of 3 brothers who have an extreme crossover appeal, having been on the pop, country and even Top 40 billboard charts throughout their music career. The American Chicano-Rock trio follow the tradition of their father, Ringo Garza, Sr., who formed a band with his brothers called the Falcones in the 70s.
Los Lonely Boys last album was in 2011, so why now? “We decided to call this album Revelation because we want to make music that reveals something to people about their lives and their world,” says Jojo Garza. “As musicians and artists, we’re here to connect with people, and to share our view of things.”
With a January 21st release date set to drop “Revelation on the trio’s own LonelyTone in association with Playing in Traffic and MRI; the siblings have cooked up a delicious pot of cultural music stew. Keep concurrent with its Chicano-Rock and brown-eyed soul roots, the band also has some vibes of Conjunto with “Blame It On Love,” Reggae “Give A Little More,” and Baroque Pop with “There’s Always Tomorrow.” “We’re always trying to broaden our horizons and advance musically, and that’s something that we were very conscious of in making this record,” Jojo states. “We’re always looking for new ways to communicate and reach people, so we experimented with a lot of different sounds and production approaches.”
If you’re a sports fan, you can hear songs from Revelation already. “Rule The World” has been licensed to ESPN’s Monday Night Football as well as the NFL on Fox, while “Can’t Slow Down” has been licensed to NASCAR for all race programming. You’ll also be able to hear an older LLB track in the upcoming film “American Hustle,” which co-stars Academy Award winners Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale.
