Often times in music we find a rare precious stone which we compare to the gems in which have been whipped into shape for the industry. One jewel is an Emerald; Caro Emerald to be exact. The Dutch Jazz-Pop artist is garnering comparisons to Adele & the late Amy Winehouse; most recently she has released a digital album entitled “The Shocking Miss Emerald” which will be available as a hard copy January 21st 2014.
What isn’t shocking is the retro-jazz feel with a 2013 feel that you get from the album; this sound is accomplished with hip-hop inspired beats, scratching and sampling while maintaining a classic & timeless jazz voice. “The Shocking Miss Emerald” is a follow-up to the multi-platinum success of her debut album “Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor”.
