Review: Justin Timberlake’s New Album, ”The 20/20 Experience”

Hey everyone, it’s Tiffanie here to give you the SKINNY on the much anticipated album, from none other than Justin Timberlake. Although he once again decided to collaborate with music producer Timbaland on this project, this album is nothing like his previous hard-hitting, bass thumping, r&b/pop album, “FutureSex/LoveSounds”. With the help of the first single (duet with HOV), “Suit and Tie”, JT has sold almost $1 Milliion copies in the first week alone. Should you spend the money on this album? That all depends on your taste.

This album surely feels like he has matured as a man, as an artist, and that he’s clearly in love ,because almost every song is about love or “that girl”. The album is fused with brass and bass, for an orchestral funk feel. It puts me in the mind of Prince in the 80’s. Almost feels like we have heard this all before, but not from Timberlake. Does JT lack originality, or is this purely just good music and he’s inspired by the artists that made him who he is musically? For me, I purchased the album on the release date, and it’s been in heavy rotation! My favorite single would have to be “Pusher Love Girl”, despite it’s drug addiction analogy. Honorable mentions: “Suit &Tie”, and “That Girl”…..If your looking to visit the tour, multi-talentedJT always puts on a great show, listed below are the tour dates.
