First off I want to shout out my big homie Trace for putting me on to this artist he’s working with name, ReP. Straight out of Brooklyn, NY, this emcee has already caught the attention of a few Hip Hop heavyweights. On just a brief background on ReP, his name is an acronym for “Representin’ Extraordinary Poetry”. So you take a title like that and the noteworthy buzz he’s bringing from the New York City area, you already know this guy has some powerful wordplay and serious flow.
Check out his newest single “Swagger Mars”, produced by DJ Pain 1 and featuring Da$h. Starts off with a southern style type of drop on the beat, but clearly when ReP opens up on the track you will immediately feel compelled to nod your head to it. I got to give Da$h props as well, he did his thing too. Pay attention to the cameo appearances from Dame Dash, NinjaSonik and Wordspit.
