Mayweather Promotions puts on a great lineup for this week’s Friday Night Fights.

Friday Night Fights at the Cosmo!

On the eve of Mayweather vs. Guerrero, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be heating up the night with a red hot card in association with Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions. Headlining the card will be two undefeated prospects, Francisco Vargas (15-0-1, 12 KOs) and Jose Miguel Aguiniga (33-0, 15 KOs) going head to head for the vacant NABF Super Featherweight Title. This looks to be another exciting fight with two hot prospects that have never lost.

Francisco Vargas, hailing from Mexico City, MEX, has a style very similar to fan favorite, Leo Santa Cruz. His nonstop pressure and ruthless body assault has kept him undefeated in his young career and he is looking to continue that streak against the more experienced, Aguiniga. Jose Miguel is the latest of a never ending list of tough and talented fighters to come out of Oxnard, CA. Jose has a style that mirrors a fusion of both Jose Luis Castillo and a young Miguel Cotto. Aguiniga has as many knockouts as Vargas has fights, so the experience factor is without a doubt expected to give him an edge. I expect an all-out war with this fight, both fighters have the perfect style to compliment the other and are at the perfect place in their career where a win could propel them into being a regularly televised fighter.

On the undercard, 2012 olympians, Dominic Breazeale (4-0, 4 KOs), Joseph Diaz (3-0, 1 KO) and Errol Spence (4-0, 3 KOs) will be looking to advance their professional careers.

Undefeated Jr. Welterweight, Antonio Orozco (16-0, 12 KOs) will go up against (16-4-1, 3 KOs) and Anthony Dirrell (24-0, 21 KOs) looks to sometime soon get himself into title contention, puts his undefeated streak on the line against an opponent to be announced soon.
